I am learning, y'all (in my Texas accent)
To gradually update my blog and keep up with the pros, I decided to give the LOOKBOOK stuff a try. I am not really into piecing together looks, but am willing to learn anything related to fashion.
I will do a vintage look, a sporty look, a business look, a weekend look, and a party look! BAM!
I'm feeling it already. The inspiration is coming y'all, just wait and see. Umm hum, you just stay tuned and wait and see ;)

Great Time with Twin Cities Fashion Bloggers Meet-Up
It was so great to mingle with a few "liked-minded" folks for a change! Our mission: ALL THINGS FASHIONABLE! I spotted such creative, dainty, and especially chic names for blogs. It makes me wish I had a more creative name, but since I have no creative bones in my body....I will just settle with "t.drenice". Plus I love the rational behind why I created the name as it as a special meaning in my heart.
Soooo, let's get down to the folks I mingled with:
1. Silke (pronounced Sil-kay) at http://www.sexyshoesexpert.com/sexy-shoes/ and her daughter who's a Sr. in high school. We both admitted to not being the best at "small talk", however, we managed.
2. Lori at http://www.girlymuse.com/ (THE HOST) has such a sweet spirit. She was so inviting and made sure everyone was comfy in "the Funky Barn". Her children came down to grab a bite to eat and were equally as nice as she is. See the pic below!
3. Megan from http://twobirdsboutique.blogspot.com/. She had on the cutest outfit and her physique was banging, even though she complained about having a big booty. LOL! She also described herself as an "open person" on her blog. She admitted to once running a marathon in a thong, but hesitated about posting it.
4. Amanda from http://www.lululetty.com/. Hails from Michigan and wore it well with a vibrant personality. Her vintage style was quite striking and she was a joy to chat with.
and last but not least...
5. Sally from http://www.alreadypretty.com/ who's launcher her career as a full-time blogger! Go Sally! She is soooo down to earth and very easy to chat with. I hope to get to chat with her more in the future!
Toodles...

jewels to die for...Summer 2011
The closet shopper in me was a little hesitant to post this, but since my family and really close friends don't follow or read blogs I decided to spill my guts.
This post contains a GALLERY of some my best summer jewelry finds. My newfound love are 16-18 inch statement necklaces with charms or embellishments. The more charms, the merrier!

What's in MY bag?
I had anticipated being one of the first to post in the "what's in my bag?" discussion/posting with Marie-Eve over at http://a-pretty-nest.blogspot.com/. But as usual my day got a little hectic. The purse I am carrying this week is clearly a catch-all bag. It has one long, shoulder strap to carry as a messenger bag and two small handles to carry as a satchel. I purchased it over a year ago at a local handbag and accessories boutique called, Lillian's. View the store info: http://www.lilliansshoppe.com/
This picture shows my daily necessities. The green sticky notes are must. I am frequently bookmarking in magazines or books, writing info down or needing to share something in writing with others in the numerous meetings I attend where all I can do is pass notes.
Another MUST is the original tried and true Trident gum. I never leave home without it. It's dentist recommended, especially after meals; AND it doesn't stick to my teeth.
Other items include: a small massage ball (see pic below) for the tense muscles in my neck, hand sanitizer, lotion and an inhaler for my asthma flareups. There is one Lifesavers mint left out of the huge bag I had for my kids. By the way I ate it as soon as I was done capturing it.

the LANDMARK center and my FAV color
a day at "Muddy Waters"
I traveled to the border. No, no, no! Not the Canada or the Mexico border. But the state-line where Minnesota and Wisconsin meets; where the muddy Mississippi River meets the sky-blue St. Croix River.
I absolutely adored the decor in the restaurant...check it out:
The dress worn here is an oldie but goodie. A great summer "go-to" when wanting to look chic on hot summer days. I don't remember where the dress was purchased from. Actually I think it was a gift from my thrifty-spender Mother. (See my June 2011 tribute to her).

My FIRST yard sale...
It looks like my brain has reserved thoughts for solely Tuesday's. I am noticing a pattern here. Well, this past weekend I successfully pulled off having my very first yard sale. It was such hard work, and I only had a handful of customers on both Saturday and Sunday due to the extreme hot weather we have been having lately. The news reported it being dangerously HOT and to take caution when outdoors.
We ended the yard sale around 4 p.m. by moving everything in tact into the garage in order to be ready for Sunday.
Then we went to the MN Lynx Basketball Game with complimentary tickets from close friends. Much thanks Jen and Darlene, muah!
They played the WNBA team from Seattle. Great game, ladies!
On Saturday, my hub grill turkey burgers (seasoned by ME) and hotdogs. Side-note: I take pride in seasoning meats for the grill and the deep fryer. LOL!
